Today me and Fuadi have been assign to assist a laboratory for latex technology class. The experimentation held at MBM1, Taman Muhibbah, Jejawi, Perlis.
The topic of the experiment is about the TSC (as tittle) of the latex, where the definition of it is;
TSC is defined as the % by weight of the whole which is non volatile at a definite temperature in an open atmosphere. - from blog Mrs Asha Kurian.I did my M.Sc in Applied Chemistry (oils, fats & aromatics).Also i did an experiment on the synthesis of biodiesel from Rubber Seed Oil at Rubber Research Institute Of India.
THe formulation were suppose to be like this.

However the conflict that we faced in the afternoon was about the formulation. In the lab module it says, the weight of the initial divide with weight of the drying latex.
Firstly, we thought it's correct. Then I realised it was wrong according to the book which I got from Dr. Hakimah before (training module from the Lembaga Getah Malaysia).
I tried to explain to Fuadi about the mistakes made by the lab module. Fuadi is good. He's just play as a graduate assistance role where he just say,
"ok guys, about the formulation, later on ask just your lecturer ok?"
In my though, I realised that this guys is very good in answering question that he's not sure about plus just be what he's suppose to be.
However, me, still can't stand about it and deep inside my heart like a the wrestler has smackdown my heart. adoi.
My heart start pumping, I shout.
"ok guys, you just correct the lagend for the calculation ok. the upper fraction is the dried weight and it need to be divided with the original latex (before dry)."
"Now that's the Total Solid Content in the latex"
After I said about it, I go to Puan Sharifah Nuraqma, and show her the formulation, to make her acknowledge about the ................
